Caine Makes Comeback
NEW HAVEN, Conn. ? Sunday at the Brady Squash Center the No. 4 Yale men's squash team extended its record to 7-0 with an 8-1 win against No. 20 Bowdoin. It was the Bulldogs' second home match of the weekend, defeating No. 5 Rochester 6-3 on Saturday.?
Senior Kenneth Chan remained strong at No. 1, defeating Bowdoin's Andrew Hilboldt 3-2, while fellow senior Richard Dodd and junior Neil Martin won at Nos. 2 and 3, respectively, in three games.?
After losing his first match of the season Saturday, junior Eric Caine looked to falter again at No. 4 when he dropped his first game 11-2, but he recovered over the next three to win 3-1. Caine has a 6-1 record on the season.
The match also featured strong performances from freshmen Pehlaaj Bajwa at No. 6 and Peter Dewire at No. 8, who each won 3-0.?
Sophomore Chris Bradshaw, making his debut for the Bulldogs, had Yale's only loss, falling to Alex Reisley 3-1 at No. 9.?
The Bulldogs will travel to Hartford, Conn., Wednesday to face one of their strongest opponents of the season, No. 2 Trinity.
